Our holiday Open House events have taken on such a special life of their own. Our Nov. 13th event was a fabulous gathering of old and new friends!
We are so fortunate to know Tola Lewis who played jazz music and really livened up the energy in the showroom. Tola can be reached at www.tolalewis.com.
The photo above includes our favorite painter (or is it singer), Nico surrounded by Jackie, Tola, Terri, Kristen, Klava, Darlene and Emily.

Our favorite young helper, Emily helped raise more than $300 for Lighthouse Emergency Services.

Justin, Regina and Beverly had fun shopping together!

Diane and Kathy enjoyed the numerous holiday displays that are found throughout our 17,000 showroom.
Our design team created several decorating themes this year including: Wine Country, Versace, Central Park, Renaissance Christmas and Christmas in Tuscany.
Stop in soon to see the many beautiful displays and fabulous ornaments! Our showroom will really put you in the spirit of the season.

( 3 / 262 )Well we all know how difficult it can be with too many homes and not enough buyers. But thankfully, speaking from experience, it’s not impossible to sell a home in the current market.
I was lucky enough to sell my Dad’s condo recently. His unit was the only non-forclosure sale all year!
So what was the recipe for success?
We did our work upfront to make our little condo the most appealing and irresistible it could be. We did things like fresh paint and new hardware on the kitchen cabinets.
Next, we set the stage with furnishings for the living room, dining room and kitchen in fun, contemporary styling. We chose chocolate brown and chartreuse green.
I have to say the condo showed like a model. While we did spend some money to make the improvements, our investment paid off in a sale!
I knew in my heart it was what we needed to do to stand out from the very saturated market. So you know all those HGTV shows such as “Designed to Sell” really do work!

( 3.6 / 328 )I don’t know about you, but all the bad news I hear about every day can be very depressing. While the economy and real estate market is in a slump, there are so many small things we can do in our homes to lift our spirits.
It makes sense to me to spend a little to enhance what we already have. Simple changes such as a vase of brightly colored flowers strategically placed to catch your eye when you walk in the door from a long day will lift your mood. Silk flowers have become so realistic that you can enjoy their beauty indefinitely.
Think about a couple of new scented candles or a diffuser to bring the fall scent of nature indoors. Maybe a fun new lamp with a playful shade is the missing piece on a not so special table.
Often times it’s those little touches we give to our homes that really make the difference. As economic conditions have resulted in most of us spending more time at home, it’s more important than ever to do whatever we can to feel good in our environment. Whether home values are rising or falling, the investment we make there both financially and emotionally is one of the biggest investments in our life. So, let’s create a joyful space for ourselves and our families.
