High Point Market 2022 Recap
In case you weren’t following us on social media, earlier this month we spent time at High Point Market looking at all the new trends in furniture and décor. As our team was scoping out the current trends of 2022, they were like kids in a candy store, picking out the some of the best looks in home furniture and décor. We are super excited about all the new styles and can’t wait until they arrive in our showroom over the next several months. For now, we want to show you a handful of the hottest trends we saw.
1) Finishes and Fabrics are Lightening Up
We saw vendors using a lot of natural wood textures and tones in their designs, especially lighter, warmer tones. We also noticed a lot of light colors in fabrics, both in solids and patterns.
2) Big Focus on Comfort
A focus on comfort remains at the center of a lot of design. Motion furniture with a modern look, plush fabrics, deep seating – all focused on providing comfort with style.
3) Bold Artwork
We saw a shift in artwork style to large pieces with bold graphics, helping you to create the WOW! factor in your home. Graffiti style seems to be on the rise as well as black and white remains a staple, but we saw it mixed with more gold, tan, and cream shades.
4) Heavily Texture in Rugs & Accent Pieces
People are craving furniture and accents that are more visually interesting, therefore we are seeing an increase in designs that incorporate interesting, but subtle textures. Rugs are incorporating not only different patterns, but also creating texture with different pile heights.
