Bonnies C’s Home Makeover
After living in her home for 18 years, Bonnie C. decided to have Jackie from Home Interior Warehouse give it a makeover. She describes her previous style as Old World with some Italian flare with big heavy furniture and a lot of clutter. With Jackie’s help, however, her condo is now what she would call contemporary, transitional and eclectic with cleaner lines, monochromatic colors, and very stylish accessories. Bonnie loves the change and plans to continue renovating with Home Interior Warehouse.
What made you seek out an interior designer to help with your home?
I stopped by Home Interior Warehouse one day to look around and was blown away by all the beautiful things I saw. We were remodeling our kitchen and I wanted someone to help me pull everything together. I hired her to help me with granite choices, black splash, etc. The kitchen came out great.
What were the main reasons you decided to hire Home Interior Warehouse to do your interior design?
After hiring Jackie to help with the kitchen everything just kind of snowballed from there. I realized I needed to spruce up the dining area, the living room, the bedroom, basically the entire main floor. Jackie made everything so easy. She made everything in the house flow beautifully from one room to the next. I love my condo now. It is so appealing to the eye and I get so many compliments when we entertain. Our friends always ask me where I purchased this item or that.
How has having an interior designer affected your design hopes and dreams?
Having an Interior Designer has fulfilled all my design hopes and dreams. Being in a space that is appealing to the eye makes it very comfortable and inviting. That’s how I feel every day in our home.
Was having an interior designer the experience you expected?
Yes. I am so glad I walked into the Warehouse that day. Jackie is not only a wonderful person, she is great at what she does. She made me step of my comfort zone and opened my eyes to a whole new world of design. She surpassed all my hopes and dream.
She would suggest things that maybe I wouldn’t have considered or was too afraid to try, like pictures or accessories, or furniture pieces. I literally changed my whole decor except for a few pieces that would still work with all the new items. It was like a different home and I love everything.
What was your favorite part of having a HIW interior designer working in your home?
My favorite part of having a Home Interior Warehouse interior designer working in my home was that it took the guess work out of everything. Having someone to turn to and say “What do you think of this?” or “where would you hang that?” Or just being able to ask “What would you do to this space to make it more appealing?” Even now when I visit Home Interior Warehouse and I see something I like I can ask her advice because she knows my home and I am very confident in her advice.
