Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas
Thanksgiving is fast approaching and with it family and friends to gather around the table. You may be wondering what to put on that table besides a lot of delicious food. Here are some easy and low cost centerpiece ideas so you can spend your time and money on the meal.
Flowers
One of the most classic types of table decor is flowers. Blooms like gerberas, calla lilies, and dahlias are all beautiful and come in many different colors so you can stick with a traditional autumn pallet or go with something more colorful. Add some glamour to your table by putting them in a beautiful chiseled vase.
Candles make gorgeous and aromatic centerpieces while providing a bit of ambiance at your dinner. You can get fall scents like apple or pumpkin, or stick with something plain like vanilla or unscented. According to Good Housekeeping you can dress them up by placing them in a large clear jar filled with nuts or coffee beans for an extra bit of fragrance.
Pumpkins
Of course we can’t talk about Thanksgiving without mentioning pumpkins. These gourds, which have become a symbol of autumn and this holiday, make wonderful centerpieces. Go for something classier than the standard orange pumpkins by getting white ones or spray painting them gold.
Thankful Tree
Another fun idea, especially if you have kids is a thankful tree. You can either buy one or simply find a good sized branch and secure it in a pot. Then before the meal hand out pieces of paper cut into leaf shapes and have everyone write what they are thankful for and hang it on the tree. It is a great reminder of what Thanksgiving is all about!
